TREES ALONG THE WEST WALL OF THE SYNAGOGUE FOYER

The original design of our synagogue building envisaged trees planted along the wall opposite the Manor House, but this has never been implemented, although other soft landscaping and planting has been carried out and is flourishing.

To mark the completion of the project and final clearance of the debt a group of ex chairs and supporters have donated generously to plant these tress which will be a mixture of different species of apple and pear trees espaliered against this wall.  We hope that this will enhance our building and provide spring blooms and a good harvest of delicious fruit each Autumn for future generations.

We wish to dedicate this small gesture to honour our dear Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg in appreciation of everything he has done with such good heart, kindness and learning for each of us individually and for the overall community. 

Please join us to plant the 8 trees (there are 8 bays in the wall) from 09.30am on Sunday 20^th January which is the day before Tu B’Shevat, the New Year of Trees.
