Our family, our state, our shul? Inheritance is a crucial controversy in Jewish law, from the Patriarchs to the Knesset. In this four-part introductory course Rabbi Zahavit Shalev and student Rabbi Anthony Lazarus Magrill will explore how Jewish law happens, tracking the evolving laws of inheritance from the Torah to the present day. No prior experience working with Rabbinic or Hebrew texts is required, and translations will be provided throughout. -
