Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care
We take the well-being of our members extremely seriously and strive to support members to the best of our abilities and resources.
If you or someone you know is in need, whether as a result of physical illness, a mental health struggle, or simply in need of some company, feeling isolated or lonely, we are here.
Deborah Golend, our Pastoral Care Coordinator, is always happy to discuss ways in which we can help. You can expect a confidential, non-judgemental and sensitive conversation, whether that includes practical advice, information or emotional support. With strong community networks, we can help facilitate referrals and signpost to Jewish Care and many other professional services/charities if appropriate.
We aim to support people through life’s challenging times – just a few examples of enquiries we receive concern bereavement, illness, neurodiverse needs, children and teenagers, drugs and alcohol, mental health issues, dementia, and other life limiting conditions.
Deborah would also love to hear from you if you are a carer, looking after a relative or friend.
To contact Deborah, click here to email her and she will call you back as soon as possible. She works part time so if there is an emergency ring or email the office.
We also have a bespoke Chesed Team made up of volunteers who receive training in several areas and can provide individual befriending, hospital visits and ongoing support.
