Operations director

NNLS, seeks an Operations Director who will work within our senior leadership team to help deliver our vision and strategy for our growing community.

As Operations Director you will focus on supporting the strategic agenda through Finance and Operations, Office and Premises Management and Administration and Staff Wellbeing and Human Resources. You will line manage and lead the team of NNLS professionals in these fields.

You will ensure that all operational functions are resourced and managed to work in an effective and systematic way, enabling community life to run smoothly. You will think strategically about the long-term financial health of the community.
 

This is an outstanding opportunity for an executive with operational experience, a track record of creative problem-solving, and change management to join the leadership team of a high-growth, values-driven synagogue at the heart of the Jewish community.

Hours: 30 hours per week worked flexibly across 5 days

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum pro rata (commensurate with experience)

synagogue administrator

NNLS seeks an outstanding Synagogue Administrator to provide extensive support enabling the smooth delivery of the community’s religious, educational, social, cultural and social action activities, life-cycle events and other aspects of membership engagement. Exceptional initiative and efficiency, strong inter-personal and communication skills and willingness to work in full alignment with the principles and values of NNLS and Masorti Judaism are essential.


In return you’ll join our friendly and collaborative professional team, who are passionate about their role and the importance of community, and have the opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic membership organisation. 

Hours: Full-time (37 hours)

Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 per annum pro rata (commensurate with experience)

DEPUTY MANAGER, GAN ALON PRESCHOOL

Join the Senior Team at a successful and established preschool within New North London Synagogue.
Be part of a unique, Jewish, accredited Forest School setting.
Bring your talents to nurture children in a stimulating, caring and innovative early years environment.

Hours: 35.25 Hours per week (0.953 FTE)
Gan Alon is open for 38 weeks of the year and is term time only

Salary: £35,088 pa - £38,987 pa FTE (pro rata for term time £27,000 pa-£30,000 pa) depending on experience

Breakfast club kitchen supervisor, GAN ALON PRESCHOOL

Sunday kehilatainu teacher

Kehilatainu is our flagship Sunday morning education provision for Primary School aged children who attend non-Jewish schools. We pride ourselves on being a warm and nurturing environment, providing children with opportunities for academic, personal and spiritual growth. We have a team of dedicated and inspiring teachers and we are currently looking for a new teacher for one of our Yr5 classes.

If you have a flair for working with young people, enjoy being part of a community and have a passion for Judaism then we want to hear from you.

As a teacher at Kehilatainu you are expected to teach each class according to our innovative curriculum and prepare lessons in a stimulating, enjoyable and safe environment.

You are expected to display high levels of professionalism and attention at all times and to be an excellent role model of a ‘mensch’ for the children and families.

We ask you to demonstrate commitment to the ethos and values of Masorti Judaism and of NNLS, and to maintain high levels of discretion and confidentiality at all times.

 

Hours: 9:10-12:30 every Sunday throughout term

Salary: £2,438, which is paid monthly throughout the year. This equates to approximately £81 per session and we teach 30 sessions throughout the academic year

Haderech Teachers

Haderech is our pre Bar/Bat Mitzvah education programme which starts in Year 6 and goes through to the end of Year 8. The goals of the programme are to help prepare the students educationally for Jewish life and deepen their connections with their community, their religion and their peers.

NNLS requires 2 teachers for Haderech on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons 4.45-6.45 pm; 2-4 hours per week.

Salary: £25-£35 per hour per hour commensurate with teaching experience and relevant qualifications.
