Until just a couple of years ago, 95% of Israel’s historic wetlands had been drained and destroyed. Now, the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) is creating a model for the world on how to create thriving wetlands, even in a country that lacks land and water resources. Dr. Yoav Perlman and Alena Kacal of SPNI will present this visionary project which showcases how Israel is at the forefront of nature conservation.
