Thursday 18 April 7.00-9.00pm
Do you have metalware cutlery, pots and other items that need to be kashered for Pesach? Solid metal cutlery and pots and pans – excluding frying pans – may be kashered.
We’ll be opening the NNLS kitchen to help you get ready for Pesach. Pop in anytime during this window -- you bring the forks, we’ll provide the boiling water. This event is a great chance to get the whole family involved in Pesach prep. Because there will be boiling water, this event is for anyone 12 and up, and all young people must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note that all items must be thoroughly cleaned and left unused for at least 24 hours prior to the event, or we will be unable to kasher them.
Pottery, china and earthenware plates and bowls cannot be koshered. Drinking glasses and glass bowls can be kashered at home by soaking in cold water for 3 days, changing the water each 24 hours.
If you have questions about this event or about kashering for Pesach in general, please get in touch with Rabbi Lara or Rabbi Yael who will be happy to help!
