Fighting for Life

Thursday, 29 February, 2024 20 Adar I 5784

7:00 PM - 9:00 PMNew North London Synagogue, 80 East End Road, London N3 2SY

When we are responsible for looking after someone with severe health problems, how can we be sure they are receiving the medical and social care support they need? What if the professionals in charge of their case aren't communicating properly? What do we do when the system just isn't working?

We invite you to an evening at NNLS to explore these difficult questions. It will begin with an award-winning play, Fighting for Life, which documents the moving true story of one family’s struggle to help their elderly parents in the midst of serious health challenges. It features Sue Kelvin, star of West End shows including Fiddler on the Roof, Chicago and Les Misérables.

There will then be Q&A with a panel including Paula Plaskow, End of life and Palliative Care Lead at Jewish Care, Helen Findlay, the couple's daughter from the play, and GP Adrian Richardson.
