Those squiggles are both musical notation and grammar! Chani Smith breaks it down, enhancing your relationship to the words and enabling you to develop a satisfying and useful new skill.

Dr Chani Smith is a scholar of Jewish Thought and a musician. She published a book on R. Nachman of Bratzlav's perception of music as a spiritual process and a booklet 'Learn to Leyn'. She is a senior lecturer at Leo Baeck College where she teaches Torah reading and cantillation on the rabbinical programme and has a particular interest in researching the way the cantillation accents give rise to new insights and commentaries on many levels. Alongside her academic work, Chani continues to work as a flute teacher in private practice.
