Reading the Megillah (Mikrah Megillah)
Erev Purim, Thursday 25th February at 8.15pm
Purim, Friday 26th February at 8.05am
This year we’ll be reading the Megillah on Zoom. We’d love you to wear fancy dress and it’s never been easier because, if you are using a recent version of the Zoom app, you can use Zoom filters to add hats, flowers, frames and more to your video if you like!
It’s important to hear all the words of the Megillah and to boo when Haman’s name is mentioned. We have a cunning plan which will allow households who wish to help create atmosphere (and noise) help us to do so - please let us know if you’d be up for that and we’ll explain what you need to do.
There are two opportunities to hear the Megillah. Firstly, Erev Purim Thursday 25th February at 8.15pm. There will also be a more sedate reading of the Megillah on Friday 26th February at 8.05am after Shacharit.
Members will find the Zoom link in Shalom NNLS emails.
You will also be able to listen via Facebook livestream on our Facebook Page.
