Toddler, Children and Family Services

We offer weekly toddler services for pre-school children and also weekly services for infants and juniors.

These services are led by volunteers at the synagogue and have a combination of songs, prayers, stories and age-appropriate activities.

They are a wonderful way of introducing your children to prayer and services and meeting other families with similar aged children.

Family services: Every 6 weeks we run family services for Reception-Year 4 aged children with their parents. These focus on teaching new prayers and engaging in activities and discussions around the Torah portion.

Torah Breakfasts: Every month Year 5 & 6 are invited to have Shabbat breakfast at shul with their peers and enjoy a fun and educational programme about the week’s Torah story.

Torah Explanatory Services for Bnei Mitzvah Students: Join Rabbi Zahavit for a walk through the Torah service. This is a chance to understand the choreography and traditions around the Torah service and to practise the different roles. These are held once a term.

Shabbatonim and Residentials

Throughout the year we offer years 4,5,6 & 7 the opportunity to spend shabbat together and sleepover at shul with their friends. Activities our run by our Madrichim (youth leaders) and are a wonderful way for the year group to get to know one another in a nurturing and fun environment.

We also offer a 4 day residential trip for years 5 and 6 at Skeet House in Kent (usually during February half term).

We run a hadracha (leadership) training programme on a farm in Bedfordshire for Years 9 & 10 for a long weekend in May.

We arrange annual trips to European cities to meet with Masorti youth overseas for Year 10.
