NNLS Charity Form Yom Kippur 2019

New North London Synagogue Tzedakah Appeals

Charity Form - Yom Kippur Appeal 2019

You have been nominated by one of our members to be considered to be a New North London Synagogue 2019 Appeal Charity. As this is an appeal, we can’t guarantee what funds you will receive if successful, however as a rough guide, previous appeals have raised between £5,000-£13,000 per organisation. If you would like to be considered please complete this form, ensuring that the information provided is accurate.

All nominations require 2 forms to be submitted by the deadline to be considered. These are The Nominator Form which the nominator completed, and The Charity Form. This form is the Charity Form.

Please submit this completed form online, and email a copy of the last 2 years accounts to tzedakah@nnls-masorti.org.uk with reference: your Organisation Name / Appeal, by Friday 28 June 2019.

If you have any queries please email them to us at that address.

Completing this form:

  • There are two online forms to complete – this one should be completed by the charity.
  • The nominating NNLS member, or a close family member, may not be an employee of the nominated charity or on the NNLS Charities Committee.
  • Should the nomination be successful, the nominating NNLS member’s name will not be used in the appeal publicity without permission
  • The charity does not have to be nominated for a specific (restricted) project. We are happy for nominations to be for unrestricted funding but with a focus on an area of work. (We will want to you to report back on the difference the funding made)
  • Please use the form as intended – ensure answers are placed in the spaces given and do not send any information not requested e.g. newsletters, annual reports etc.
  • We will only look at the words within our specified word limit so please ensure you strictly meet these requirements

Eligibility

  • Only charities registered in the UK will be considered, therefore overseas charities will need to have a ‘UK Friends Of’ or equivalent, registered UK charity. However, we require financial information of the receiving organization (if you are applying via a British Friends of type organization)
  • A charity may only be an NNLS Appeal Charity for up to a maximum of 3 years. An application cannot then be made for that charity for a further 2 years

Next Steps

  • We will acknowledge receipt within 2 working days – it is your responsibility to ensure the form has been submitted. We therefore suggest you ensure this is done several days before the deadline so that you can be sure of safe receipt
  • The NNLS Charities Committee will decide which charities will be supported, based on the information provided. Their decision will be made and communicated to you and your nominated charity, within 2 months of the application deadline
  • Unfortunately as we are a volunteer team, we are not able to give feedback on individual applications.
