Myisrael provides a meaningful way for donors to connect with small but inspirational causes in Israel that have previously fallen under the radar.

In Israel, there are 325,000 families experiencing food insecurity. The Fill-a-Fridge campaign is a food voucher scheme to help feed vulnerable families.

For example, Miriam is a 37-year-old disabled mum who lost her husband in a terror attack last year. Whilst Miriam tried to remain strong for her two young children, she found the financial burden too much to bear. On her meagre disability allowance, her home has fallen into disrepair and her bills feel insurmountable.

A food voucher will provide Miriam with a week’s worth of essential groceries and give her some much-needed breathing space.

For well over a decade, GIFT has been helping struggling families with food packages designed to help supplement their weekly shopping.

Each year for Purim, GIFT runs a fundraiser for Matanot L’evyonim (Gifts to the Poor) - the mitzvah to distribute aid on Purim day itself, to members of the Jewish community in need.

It would be unthinkable to celebrate without also reaching out to others. Traditionally one gives money which is distributed on Purim itself.

As well as donating money to the charities above, we would also like to encourage you to donate food to local food banks, or to Foodbank Aid which collects, sorts and delivers to food banks much needed food, toiletries and household items. They deliver exactly what food banks request, thereby reducing waste.
