How have refugee experiences changed over the decades – and what parallels remain?
We are collaborating with HIAS+JCORE and G2G for a powerful Holocaust Memorial Day event on 27 January 2026 to learn more. You’ll hear from Noreen Plen, whose parents survived the Holocaust and arrived here as refugees in 1949, and Kemi Ogunlana, a present-day refugee from Nigeria.
Rabbi David Mason (Executive Director, HIAS+JCORE) will moderate the conversations, it promises to be a unique opportunity to explore connections between people’s journeys towards rebuilding in the UK.
