NNLS is setting up an online confidential, supportive and secure group for ‘frontline’ professionals currently working in schools, social services, care homes, pharmacies, dental surgeries and the NHS. 

We hope that the Frontline professionals’ support group will offer the opportunity to speak with colleagues in the NNLS community from different perspectives and professions and that it will become a forum for mutual support.

We are aware that some people might appreciate the chance to speak with colleagues in a space outside their work environment. We are therefore planning to run a monthly online session for NNLS members. People are welcome to come as a one off or to join the group on a regular basis. There may also be a possibility of continuing as a face to face group in the longer term.

The group will normally be held on the last Thursday of each month from 8.15 – 9.30 pm but since the last Thursday in May falls on Shavuot the first session will take place on 4th June. It will be facilitated by two experienced colleagues. Dr Helen Halpern is a retired GP, family therapist and coach who currently works in professional development and education for Health Education England. David Amias is a Consultant Systemic Family Therapist at the Tavistock Centre where he is a clinician, supervisor and teacher working in the Child, Young Adults and Parents Department. He has long experience offering consultation to professionals working in voluntary and statutory contexts.
